Members of LGBTQ communities, high-risk and high-need clients, and people with personality disorders often experience unique and heightened involvement with the criminal legal system, and they also present challenges to their defense teams. What cultural or other sensitivities do we need to be aware of as we help them navigate a confusing and sometimes hostile environment? Bring your stories, experiences, and struggles with client engagement. Let's work together to find ways to do better for our clients and avoid burnout.
