Calvin Robinson-Bey

In 1981, Calvin Robinson-Bey was sentenced in Maryland to a life sentence for a crime that he didn’t commit. While incarcerated for more than 33 years, he taught himself the ins and outs of criminal law. He succeeded in having his conviction and sentence vacated, and he was released shortly thereafter. Calvin has also won the release of several other men who were wrongly convicted. Today, Calvin works in the law offices of Landon M. White and in the law office of Brenda Pennington. He also works as a lost prevention officer at Family Dollar in Baltimore. Calvin is also a member of Positive Impact 410, which promotes victim closure and ending violence in the inter city of Baltimore, Maryland.
