Shakeer Rahman is a Skadden Fellow in the Impact Litigation Practice at The Bronx Defenders, where he helps Bronx residents challenge systemic injustices in how they are policed. His work includes class action lawsuits against government agencies, including the NYPD and federal immigration authorities. After graduating from Harvard Law School in 2015, Shakeer clerked for Judge Beverly Martin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta and for Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar of the California Supreme Court. Shakeer has written about policing for the Harvard Law Review, the New York Times, Dissent Magazine, and the London Review of Books blog.
